Stamped addressed envelope sent by the Alexandria Black History Resource Center to the Alexandria Black History Resource Center with the "Helen Lumpkins Day Station Dedicated December 22, 1992" cancellation stamp. The stamp is for W.E.B. DuBois and is part of the United States Postal Services' Black Heritage series. The envelope was sent in order to record the special cancellation stamp issued to honor the dedication of the Post Office at 1100 Wythe Street, Alexandria, as the Helen Day Post Office, on December 22, 1992. This envelope was mounted in a green plastic frame for display. |
