Phonograph record in cardboard sleeve featuring performances by Duke Ellington and Mahalia Jackson , 1958. Vinyl record is (a) and cardboard sleeve is (b). The vinyl record consists of the following music: Duke Ellington performs, "Such Sweet Thunder" and "Sonnet to Hank Cinq" and Mahalia Jackson performs "Oh Lord is it I?" and "Walk over God's Heaven." The front of the record sleeve includes photographs of Ellington and Jackson. The text on back reads, "For your listening enjoyment / from your friends at Carnation." The back cover includes information about the artists and their song selections. The record was made as a promotional gift for Carnation Evaporated Milk by Columbia Records. |
