Description |
Typewritten letter in blue ink on House of Representatives letterhead. Letter is from Congressman Ben L. Fairchild to Lewis Cass White. Fairchild writes of a favor that White had performed for Fairchild and answers inquires that must have come from a previously received letter. Fairchild mentions that he has not forgotten his days at Ryland Sunday School or the welcome he always received from his teacher (White). Fairchild mentions the inclusion of a check for $10 to go toward the repairing of the organ at the school. He closes by saying he and his wife will always welcome him. The postscript is from Fairchild's private secretary Frank Kingsbaud (sp?) which states Fairchild had to leave to catch a train but left instructions for his secretary to sign and send off the letter. |
