Description |
Rectangular cardboard display board mounted with a poster advertising a stamp issued by the U. S. Postal Service in 1990. The poster has a background with sections of white lace and curved paper. In the foreground is a color image of the Ida B. Wells stamp. The stamp is part of the Black Heritage Series. The poster includes the text in orange, "Preserve / a Great Heritage / COLLECT STAMPS". The stamp was available February 2, 1990. The poster is affixed to the board with tape. The front of the board is covered in clear plastic and back is covered in wood design contact paper. The board is marked in black ink on the back, "12" This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
