Description |
Ceramic pepper shaker in the shape of a woman dressed as a cook and wearing a white apron and neck scarf, and a red headscarf. The figure holds a red spoon in its left hand. The figure's body is painted black. The eyes are painted black and white, and the mouth is red. The black text, "Washington, D. C." is written across the bottom of the apron. There is a raised edge on the bottom of the shaker which supports the base. There are three holes at the top of the shaker and one hole at the bottom. The cork stopper is missing. The text, "JAPAN" in marked in blue on the bottom of the shaker. The pepper shaker is part of a pair with a salt shaker catalogued as B2017.05.03a. |
