Rectangular cardboard display board mounted with two pages of a newspaper article entitled, "Women in the American Military" from the "The Mini Page" dated March 19, 1995. The article includes thirteen black and white photographic images of women during the Revolutionary War, Civil War, World War I, World War II, and modern combat. The text describes their work, especially the change in women's roles during World War II. The front of the board is covered in clear plastic and the back is covered in wood design contact paper. This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
