Black and white photograph of Jim Moran, City of Alexandria Mayor, Ulysses Jackson and photographer Carol Siegel, at Alexandria City Hall, 1987. The trio are standing in front of a photograph of Ulysses Jackson beside her mother's gravestone, taken by Carol Siegel on Mother's Day 1986 and purchased by the Alexandria City Manager's Office for display at City Hall. The original photograph was taken by Siegel as part of a project, grant-funded by the Alexandria Commission on the Arts, to document the Parker-Gray Historic District's Black community, 1985-1986. |
