Description |
Two vinyl record box set of a performance of Langston Hughes' 1964 musical "Jerico-Jim Crow" by the original off-Broadway cast. The musical focuses on themes related to the Civil Rights Movement. The cardboard album box (a) is covered in black paper with an overlayed yellow paper on the front and back. All text is in brown and includes the title, author, cast listing and other production details. The front also includes a photograph of a man and woman standing behind a sign with arrows and the text, "Colored / WATER // White / WATER." Above them is a sign that reads, "FOR WHITE ONLY." The box set contains two vinyl records with printed red paper labels (b, c) in white paper sleeves (d, e). There is an eight-page booklet (g) with black lettering on cream-colored paper that includes a photograph of the cast on the front cover, cast biographies, lyrics and dialogue from the musical, and an order form on the back cover. There is also a section of cardboard packing material (f). |
