Description |
Rectangular cardboard display board mounted with four pages from a book entitled, "Catch me the moon, Daddy" by William Kaufman. The first three pages consist of two poems in black text, and two color photographic images of young children. The two pages at the top of the board consist of a poem entitled, "Pufiki" from Nigeria, and an image of a young boy playing a tree trunk drum. The lower left page on the board consists of a poem entitled, "This little finger" from Costa Rica and an image of a young girl. The pages have a cream background with a woven pattern. The pages are numbered 22 to 24. On the right side of page 23 and the left side of page 24 there is a colorful decorative border of abstract repeated shapes. The last page is the back cover of the book and consists of a color photographic image of a young girl with an orange background. The front of the board is covered in clear plastic which is taped at the back. This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
