Description |
Rectangular printed paper poster entitled, "The Lewis and Clarke Expedition". The poster consists of color drawings of Fort Catsop, a map showing the expedition route, and Lewis, Clarke and Sacajawea with a horse. There is a brief description of the expedition, of Fort Clatsop, and of the three explorers, William Clarke, Meriwether Lewis and Sacajawea. The text is in black and the background is light brown with a white border. The poster is part of a set entitled, "Westward Expansion" produced by McDonald Publishing Co. This poster was used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
