Description |
Rectangular cardboard display board mounted with a poster entitled, "Letter Perfect". The poster consists of text and drawings of letters to illustrate the correct format for friendly letters, business letters, invitations, thank you letters, and envelope addressing. This includes descriptions for the type of heading, inside address, greeting, body text, closing and signature to use in formal and informal correspondence. It also includes details of the appropriate etiquette for thank you letters, and suggestions on the contents of business letters, invitations and thank you letters. The title is in purple and green text. The headings are in white text on a green background. The poster has a yellow background with a white border that has a design resembling the edge of a postage stamp. The poster was produced by Creative Teaching Press, Inc. The front of the board is covered in clear plastic which is taped at the back. This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
