Description |
Rectangular cardboard display board mounted with a poster of a color image of a painting entitled, "Last Supper" by Cornell Barnes. Seated around the table are famous African American including the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., Malcolm X, Frederick Douglass, W.E.B. Du Bois, Mary McLeod Bethune, Harriet Tubman, Booker T. Washington, Paul Robeson, and Nat Turner. The front and back of the board are covered by wood design contact paper and the front of the board is covered in clear plastic. This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
