Rectangular cardboard display board mounted with a poster entitled, "It Takes More Than a Month - African-American Heritage" that consists of a composite image that includes images of Harriet Tubman, the pyramids of Giza, children and sections of the map of Africa. Below this poster is a page from an Essence magazine article dated February 1994 that includes an image of a married couple at a jumping the broom ceremony. The front of the poster is covered in wood patterned contact paper and is also covered in clear plastic which is taped on the back. This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
