Rectangular cardboard display board mounted with a poster entitled, "National Women's History Month 1992: Women's History: A Patchwork of Many Lives". The poster consists of a color photographic image of a quilt made by the Hamish Amish Quilters, San Fernando Valley, California. The quilt is comprised of forty-two squares, of which forty-one represent a specific woman with either an image of her, her work/achievements, or a quote. The quilt is bordered with red and the names of the quilters. The poster was produced by the National Women's History Project. The front of the board is covered in wood design contact paper and clear plastic which is taped at the back of the board. This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
