Letter from Alice Leonard to Annie B. Rose, regarding a meeting of the Alexandria Society for the Preservation of Black Heritage (ASPBH) and the threat to Alfred Street Baptist Church, dated May 4, 1981. Leonard apologizes that she will need to leave the ASPBH meeting before the end because of a prior commitment. She also notes that she is invited people the National Trust to be present. Leonard also discussed other plans for the publicity for their preservation campaign, including events to have a table at with brochures and petitions. Leonard also discusses politics and political campaigning. There are sections of red lining of the text. |
