Typed recital program for a performance by Ben Holt with Dwight Oarr as piano accompanist. The document lists the works to be performed. The works are by Aaron Copland, Charles Ives, Franz Schubert, Johannes Brahms, Richard Strauss, Kurt Weill, Sigmund Romberg, Howard Swanson, Margaret Bonds, Ivan Dzerzhinsky, Hall Johnson, Avery Robinson, and R. Nathaniel Dett. There is whiteout in some areas. There are two programs mounted in scrapbook that appear to relate to the same event. Both are mounted so that only one page is visible. The front cover of the program listed that the performance is by Ben Holt and Dwight Oarr, and is presented by The Schubert Club of Fairfield County, Inc., at the First Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall, on March 1, 1989. The interior page of the program listed the same works to be performed as this document. The two mounted programs are catalogued as BHA2020.05.01.21.18 and BHA2020.05.01.21.19. |
