Description |
Rectangular foamcore display board mounted with a poster entitled, "Carter G. Woodson, The Father of Black History". The poster consists of a background image of Woodson standing next to a bookcase. On the right side of the poster are four black and white photographic images of Woodson and one image of the U.S. Postal Service's stamp of Woodson. The text gives a brief biography of Woodson. The poster was produced by The Association for the Study of African American Life and History, Inc. (ASALH). The board is edged with black tape. The front of the board is covered in clear plastic which is taped on the back. This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
