Description |
Rectangular cardboard display board formed from two sections of cardboard joined at the back of the board. The left section is mounted with a card with a monochrome brown photographic image of W. E. B. Du Bois and a brief biography below. The right section is mounted with a longer biography of him. The biography on the left begins with the text, "An outstanding critic, editor, scholar. au- / thor and civil rights leader..." The text is surrounded by a hand-drawn green border. The card was produced by Buckingham Enterprises, Inc. in 1968. The front of the left section is covered in wood design contact paper. The front of the two sections are separately covered in clear plastic The two sections of cardboard are attached by wood design contact paper across the back of the board. There is a large amount of velcro on the back of the board. This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
