Rectangular cardboard display board mounted with three posters each with a color drawing and a caption below. "Farmers" depicts a group of African American men and women working in a field with mountains in the background. "The Miners" depicts an African American man panning for gold in a river. "Bill Pickett" depicts an African American man in a white cowboy hat with images of a line of men on horseback and a man wrangling a bull in the background. The images are hand-annotated as 4, 5 and 6. The front of the board is covered in wood design contact paper and clear plastic which is taped at the back. This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
