Description |
Rectangular foamcore display board mounted with a poster entitled, "from Anti-Apartheid to Pro-Democracy". The poster consists of a blue toned photographic image of Nelson Mandela. Across the image is the white text, "South Africa belongs to / all who live in it, black and white / The Freedom Charter, 26 June, 1955". The title is in white and blue text on a black band below the image. Below this and at the sides of the poster is an abstract design in green, black, yellow, blue and black. At the bottom of the poster is a band of white with the African National Congress (ANC) logo. The front of the board is covered in clear plastic which is taped at the back of the board. This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
